What is a "Continuing Care Retirement Community?"
This type of community offers various levels of housing and care services in the same environment. These communities are appropriate for people who wish to avoid moving from a retirement community to an assisted living facility when they need additional care, for example. A CCRC is also a good option for married couples when one spouse is independent and the other requires a higher level of routine medical care.
